Full story (spoilers)
Farrah Blake is a senior who feels left behind as her friends date, and classmates mock her as the Virgin Mary. She has had feelings for Ethan Sinclair, her childhood best friend, for years. Farrah asks Ethan to help her lose her virginity before summer, and he starts a plan called Operation Hail Mary. Ethan lines up dates for her, and Josh McCormack seems like the perfect guy. Sheryl, Ethan's overprotective mother, threatens to stop paying Farrah's tuition if Farrah develops feelings for her son. Sheryl also pushes a marriage with Gia on him, though he never agreed. Connor and his friends throw Farrah into the pool, and Ethan rushes to her rescue. When Ethan turns Gia down while her father looks on, he runs to Farrah. Farrah then answers with their childhood code, two taps on her nose, which means she is not okay with his marriage. They start dating, and Farrah later pitches in at the Sinclair Group. Sheryl comes around to backing their relationship.
