Sophia Miller tells her dying mother that she will have a child through artificial insemination. Debts pile up, and her greedy uncle Victor steals her savings and jewelry. Ethan Carter wakes from a coma after a car crash that left him infertile. He had frozen his sperm, but his illegitimate half-brother Lucas taunts the family, and his mother Kelly orders an assistant to find a candidate for insemination. Sophia's IVF goes ahead with Ethan's stolen sample. Once Ethan learns the truth, he orders a citywide manhunt. Desperate, Sophia takes a cleaning job at a five-star hotel, where her mentor Annie tells her that Ethan's sperm was stolen. After she and Annie are caught gossiping about Ethan, he fires them and vows to ruin Sophia, believing she stole his sperm. Then Sophia learns she is pregnant. Victor, resenting her mother, abducts her and sells her to Henry Berg, who tries to assault her. Sophia screams that she is pregnant. The official notes end there.
