Story

The Heiress Who Speaks to Beasts is a NetShort crime fantasy with a four-legged informant network. Aria was adopted into one of New York's old-money families, and they cast her out. Soon afterward she finds she can communicate with animals. She teams up with her brother, a police officer stuck at the very bottom of the NYPD ranks, and together they start solving cases using tips from stray cats, dogs and birds. As their record grows, so does Aria's standing, and the snobbish family that discarded her, and the biological daughter who plotted to replace her, begin to look very small.
