Full story (spoilers)
Ares, once a decorated special-forces hero, has retired, traumatised after losing his closest comrade. His only mission is to look after the wife and daughter of the man he lost. Then a con leaves the family buried in high-interest loans, and enforcers harass them until they are ruined. Ares beats the thugs, yet the men behind them reach far wider: gangsters, loan sharks, crooked cops, officials and soldiers on the take have abused power for years. When he moves against them, the network answers with smears, traps and attacks. Refusing to back down, he gathers loyal comrades. Using combat skills and a sharp mind, he works upward from the crimes at street level, takes the gang apart one piece at a time, strips away its protectors and follows the trail up to the mastermind. Finally he topples the criminal chain, purges corruption in the state and military, clears his name and sees every wrongdoer answer for what they did. Keeping his vow, he restores peace, upholds the law and finds redemption after the final victory.
